DEEP WEB AND DARK WEB

 

What is dark web?

Dark web is the collection of websites that are not available on the surface web and can’t be accessed BY normal browser. The deep web keep our internet activity private. This area of internet can be used for both legal and illegal activities but it is mostly used for illegal activities.

Surface web deep web and dark web

The internet contain millions of websites servers and databases. Some of the websites server or databases are available on the surface web but some of them are not available on it these are just available on the dark web or in deep web.

SURFACE WEB (visible layer of internet)

Surface web is the visible layer of the internet. This area of internet contain just 5% of information from 100 percent the rest information is in the deep and dark web. If we example of ice berg above the Water level there is the surface web that can be seen.

The common websites that are accessed by traditional browser like chrome, Firefox and internet explorer are on the surface web these websites are usually registered ion the domain like on .com .org  and can easily accessed by search engines like google or Bing etc.

Deep web

The deep web contain 90% of the information on the internet. This layer of internet contain the most information in the internet we can’t imagine how many web-pages are in the deep web. Again if we take the example of an iceberg then the most area beneath the water is the deep web. it contain both illicit and legal content.

The legal content is also on the deep web this is the personal information of a person and it can only be accessed by the owner of it these information include:

·       Financial accounts for example bank information and retirement information

·       Messaging account and other email accounts

·       Legal and important files

·       Medical document and sensitive information

·       Enterprise private data BASE

 

DARK WEB

Dark web mention to the sites that are not indexed and only be accessed through special browser and can’t be accessed by the simple web browsers  this layer of internet is much smaller than the surface web but it has the most sensitive and important information then the both deep and surface web. it is mostly used for illegal work like selling drugs from cocaine to heroin  and from selling the illegal weapons to the murder of any person it is the most encrypted area which cant tracked by the different cyber security  agency.

CAN WE ACCESS THE DARK WEB? IS IT LEGAL?

It is legal because some of the cyber security agencies need to access the dark web because to reduce the cyber crimes these benefits include:

·       Ability to take illegal actions for both users and providers

·       User anonymity

·       Virtually untraceable services and sites

 

According to my opinion it’s not good to access the deep and dark web
